How to Register as a New Member and Take a Test
- It costs nothing to register with the Online CE Health community, and you must be registered to be able to take a test for any course. On the home page, click on the bottom menu option "Registrar." Fill out all the information carefully. Note that the information you place in the license number field will be exactly how it appears on your course completion certificate. Once you have completed your registration, be sure to write down your login name and password to continue to be able to access the special features of OnlineCE.net.
- Go back to the home page, and log in to the site via the "student login" link, following the login screen instructions. After successfully logging in, you will be greeted by name.
- At the home page, click on "Continuing Education Courses."
- Browse through the course listings by clicking on "All Disciplines," or on a specific profession-then click on "find" to see a list of all the courses available in the selected profession.
- Select a course that interests you by clicking on the course number, and then reading the abstract and additional information provided.
- Once you have decided which course to take, carefully read and study the course materials you selected. When you feel you are ready, click on the "Take the Test" link.
- Click on the "Choose Your Payment Option" link that provides two methods of payment:
- Pay $8 per contact hour (i.e., pay as you go).
- Pay $69 for as many courses as you wish for one year from your initial test taking date-a special introductory offer!
- Once the payment method is approved, you will gain access to the test.
- The test consists of 12 questions, which will appear to you one at a time. Do not move backward to review your answers, or skip questions to come back to them, because you will skew your test results. You must score 75 percent to pass the course and receive your certificate.
- You must complete each test in 1 sitting. That means you can't take part of a test today and the rest of it tomorrow.
- When you pass, complete and submit the evaluation form.
- Your Continuing Education Certificate will appear for you to print after you submit the completed evaluation form. Print out as many copies as you might need.
- If you fail the test, you must retake the test immediately (unless you are an unlimited use member). Please keep in mind that you can only take the test twice, so it would behoove you to print out the course material to refer to.
